How do I update my SSH Password?

Wordify sites use a per-site SSH/SFTP password rather than uploaded SSH keys. Here is how to view and update your credentials.

Wordify does not use SSH keys that you upload or manage in the Console. Access to your site over SSH and SFTP uses a username and password that are unique to each site, so there is no key to update.

Where to find your credentials

Open your site in the Console, then under Hosting select SSH / SFTP. The page shows the host, port, username, password, and path for that site. See Connecting over SSH and SFTP for a full walkthrough.

Updating your credentials

If you want to replace the credential your site uses, for example after a leak or when someone leaves your team, rotate the SSH/SFTP password. On the SSH / SFTP page, click Rotate password at the top right of the card, then confirm.

A new password is generated and takes effect immediately. The old password stops working straight away, so update any saved connections, scripts, or automations that use it. Rotating affects that one site only. Your other sites and your Console login are unchanged.

What about my Console account password?

Your Console login is separate from your sites' SSH/SFTP credentials, and changing one never changes the other. To change your Console password, see Changing your password.
