Wordify doesn't sell fixed hosting tiers. You pay per site, per day, and storage and bandwidth are billed on what you actually use. This article explains how the maths works: daily billing, resource pooling on Wordify Max, and what happens if you use more than your allowance.
You pay per site, per day
Every site is billed at a flat monthly rate, spread across the days of the calendar month. A site only pays for the days it exists.
Add a site mid-month and you're billed for the remaining days, not the full month.
Delete a site mid-month and you're billed only for the days it ran.
For example, a Business site ($25/month) created on day 21 of a 30-day month runs for 10 days, so it's billed 10/30ths of the monthly rate: $8.33.
Changing plans mid-month
Plan changes work the same way. The month is split at the day you change, and each stretch is billed per day at its own rate.
Say you start the month on Starter ($15/month) and upgrade to Business ($25/month) halfway through a 30-day month:
Plan | Days | Charge |
Starter | 15 of 30 | $7.50 |
Business | 15 of 30 | $12.50 |
Total |
| $20.00 |
There's no proration paperwork and no credits to chase. The daily billing handles it automatically, so you can upgrade or downgrade whenever the site needs it.
Storage and bandwidth are billed on what you use
Every plan includes a storage and bandwidth allowance:
Storage is measured as your average daily usage across the month, so a temporary spike (say, during a migration) doesn't set your bill.
Bandwidth is the total transferred during the month. Each site has one combined allowance covering both server and CDN traffic, and server traffic counts against it first.
If you stay within your allowances, storage and bandwidth cost nothing extra. If you go over, you pay a small top-up (more on that below).
Pooling on Wordify Max
Here's the part that matters most for teams and agencies: on Wordify Max, your Starter sites, Business sites, and Wordify Dev Sites share one team-wide pool of storage and one of bandwidth, instead of each site having its own limits.
Every pooled site you add grows the pool. On Wordify Max, each Starter site and each Wordify Dev Site adds 1 GB of storage and 10 GB of bandwidth, and each Business site adds 30 GB of storage and 50 GB of bandwidth.
Because the pool is shared, big and small sites average out. A 3 GB site and a 300 MB site both draw from the same pool, so one heavy site is fine: the whole fleet carries it.
A worked example
An agency runs 20 Starter sites on Wordify Max. Each site uses between 1 GB and 3 GB of storage, about 40 GB in total.
Item | Calculation | Charge |
20 Starter sites | 20 × $5/month | $100.00 |
Storage pool | 20 × 1 GB = 20 GB included |
|
Storage top-up | 40 GB used, 20 GB over, × $0.50/GB | $10.00 |
Bandwidth pool | 20 × 10 GB = 200 GB included (within allowance) | $0.00 |
Total |
| $110.00/month |
That's an effective $5.50 per site per month, with no site individually constrained to 1 GB, because they share the pool.
Pro and Ultra stay per-site
Pro is the deliberate exception. A Pro site's 50 GB of storage and 100 GB of bandwidth are per-site allowances, on or off Wordify Max. They never join the team pool.
This cuts both ways by design: a single high-traffic Pro site can't drain the pool your smaller sites rely on, and Pro's generous allowances stay dedicated to the site that's paying for them. Ultra works the same way, with custom per-site allocations.
Top-ups, never penalties
If you use more than your allowance (per-site, or pooled on Wordify Max), the difference is billed as a simple top-up:
Resource | Top-up rate |
Storage | $0.50/GB |
Server bandwidth | $0.15/GB |
CDN bandwidth | $0.06/GB |
That's the whole mechanism. There are no forced plan upgrades, no overage tiers, and your visitors are never rate-limited by traffic count. If a busy month pushes you 4 GB over your storage pool, that's $2, and next month starts fresh.
What Wordify Max is
Wordify Max is a team-level upgrade, not a different set of plans. The same four plans exist with and without it. Turning it on gives you:
Lower per-site rates: Starter drops from $15 to $5, Business from $25 to $15, and Pro from $49 to $45 per month.
Pooled storage and bandwidth across Starter, Business, and Wordify Dev Sites (see above).
Five free Wordify Dev Sites.
In exchange, Wordify Max has a $50/month team minimum. If your team's site charges come to less than $50 in a month, the difference is added to bring the invoice to $50. The minimum applies every month while you're on Wordify Max, even with no sites, so it suits teams whose hosting spend is already at or above that level.
You can switch Wordify Max on or off anytime from your billing settings. The switch takes effect immediately and each site moves to its equivalent plan at the new rate, billed per day like any other plan change. One quirk worth knowing: the $50 minimum doesn't prorate. If you upgrade mid-month you owe the full minimum for that month, and if you switch off mid-month no minimum applies at all.
Wordify Dev Sites
Wordify Dev Sites are lightweight development and testing sites at $2/month each, billed per day like everything else. Each includes 1 GB of storage and 10 GB of bandwidth, which join the team pool on Wordify Max.
On Wordify Max, your first five Wordify Dev Sites are free. They're built for staging and client previews rather than production: they run on a platform-assigned domain with password protection on by default.
