You can transfer a site to another Wordify account, for example when handing a finished site over to a client. Ownership, files, and data all move across together.
Start the transfer
Open the site, then under Workflow select Transfers.
Enter the Recipient Email: the email address of the Wordify account that will receive the site.
Click Send Transfer.
The transfer shows as Active while it waits for the other account to accept. You can Cancel it any time before then.
The recipient accepts
The recipient sees the transfer under Incoming on their Site Transfers page.
They open it, choose a plan for the site on their account, and click Accept Transfer. The site then moves fully to their account.
Keeping your agency access after the handover
If you build sites for clients, you can hand a site over and still keep working on it.
When your client accepts the transfer, the accept screen shows a tick box: Keep [your team] as your agency for [their team]. It is ticked by default, so your access carries across unless your client chooses to untick it.
If it stays ticked:
Your team gets Team Member access to every site on your client's team, including sites they add later, and you can create new sites billed to that team.
Access starts straight away. There is no second invitation email for anyone to accept.
Your client can revoke it at any time from the Agencies card on their Teams page.
Two things worth knowing:
The tick box is only offered to someone who owns the receiving team, or who has permission to manage it. If your client accepts the transfer with a more limited role, the tick box does not appear and no agency access is created.
If your team is already connected to your client's team as an agency, the existing arrangement is left exactly as it is. Ticking the box will not widen it.
What your client receives
The person you send the transfer to gets an email with the subject Your website is ready to be handed over to you.
The email is written in your team name, not your personal name. It opens with a line like "Your Team Name has built a website for you and is now transferring it to your own Wordify account so you can manage it directly", then lists the site name and domain, and gives them an Accept My Website button.
If your client does not have a Wordify account yet, they can create one from that link as part of accepting the transfer.
Good to know
A transfer link expires 7 days after it is sent if it is not accepted. The receiving account chooses and pays for the site's plan once the transfer completes.
