SSL certificates and HTTPS

How Wordify keeps your site secured with HTTPS.

Written by Daniel

Every Wordify site is served over HTTPS with a free SSL certificate. Console issues and renews the certificate for you, so there is nothing to buy or install.

Check your SSL status

Open your site, then under Hosting select Domains / SSL. Each domain row has an SSL Status column.

The Domains and SSL page

A status of Active means the certificate is in place and the domain is served securely over HTTPS.

When you add a domain

When you connect a custom domain, Console requests an SSL certificate for it automatically, once the domain's DNS is pointing at your site. This usually finishes within a few minutes of the DNS check passing. Use Recheck All to run the checks again if you have just updated your DNS.

Renewals

Certificates renew on their own before they expire. You do not need to do anything to keep HTTPS working.
