Your theme controls how your site looks. Console lets you manage themes alongside your plugins, without opening WordPress.

Open your site, then under WordPress select Themes. Each installed theme appears as a card showing its name and version. The theme currently in use is marked Active.

Click Activate on the theme you want to use. The change takes effect right away, so preview a theme before activating it on a live site.

When an update is available, an Update button appears on the theme's card. To keep a theme current automatically, tick Update automatically on its card, then click Save.

Click Install Theme, then search for a theme by name or upload one from a ZIP file.

Click the delete icon on the theme's card. You can't delete the theme your site is using, so activate a different theme first if you want to remove it.

Tick the box on each theme card, or tick Select all. A bar appears at the bottom of the page. Choose Update or Delete from Actions. Your active theme is never deleted, even if it is selected. The work runs in the background, so you can stay on the page. Each card shows Queued, then Deleting while it runs, and a deleted theme can take up to a minute to leave the page.

Go to Sites, then open the Themes tab. Tick a theme to act on every site that has it installed, or open its row to choose particular sites. Then choose Update, Activate or Delete from Actions. A site can only use one theme, so you can activate one theme at a time.

If you only have access to some of your team's sites, you won't see these bulk options. You can still change themes one at a time, or ask your team owner to make the change.
