Suspending and reactivating a site

Take a site offline without deleting it, and bring it back.

Written by Daniel

Suspending a site takes it offline without deleting anything. Visitors see it as unavailable, but the files, database, and settings are all kept, and you can reactivate it at any time. Suspended sites are still billed.

Find the site's actions

Open the site you want to suspend. Its action buttons, including More, sit in the top right of the page.

Suspend the site

  1. Click More, then choose Suspend Site.

  2. Optionally add a reason, so your team knows why the site is offline.

  3. Click Suspend Site to confirm.
