Overview

The Suspend feature allows you to temporarily make your WordPress site inaccessible to visitors while maintaining all your site's data and settings.

What Happens When You Suspend a Site?

When you suspend a site:

  • Visitors will see a "Access Denied" message instead of your website

  • Your site's data and configuration remain intact

  • You'll continue to be billed for the suspended site

  • You can reactivate the site at any time

  • Suspended sites show with a red background in the site listing page

How to Suspend a Site

  1. From your Wordify dashboard, locate the site you want to suspend in the Sites listing

  2. Click the Settings (βš™οΈ) icon next to the site name

  3. In the navigation menu, select Billing and then click Suspend

  4. On the Suspend Site page, click the "Suspend" button

  5. Your site will immediately become inaccessible to visitors

How to Reactivate a Suspended Site

  1. Navigate to the suspended site in your Sites listing

  2. Click the Settings (βš™οΈ) icon

  3. Go to Billing > Suspend

  4. Click the "Unsuspend" button

  5. Your site will immediately become accessible again

Important Notes

  • Suspending a site does not delete any data or configurations

  • You will continue to be billed for suspended sites

  • While suspended, your site's WordPress admin area will also be inaccessible

  • Site suspension can take 5 mins to take effect while caches expire

  • You can suspend and unsuspend your site as many times as needed
